Santa’s Grotto and Children’s activities
Our Santa’s Grotto will be in the upstairs foyer of the Everyman Cinema from 1pm. Pop in to say hello to Santa and his elf.
In St James Square, children (and creative adults) will have the opportunity to decorate baubles which will be hung on our Christmas tree. Be part of the Muswell Hill Christmas.
For those of you with a sweet-tooth, decorate gingerbread men and cupcakes, kindly donated by Muswell Hill Sainsbury’s.
Over by St James Church, will be a living nativity scene with animals including a donkey and sheep!
Our MC Richard Tharp is a teacher, writer and musician.

Official opening of A Very Merry Muswell is 1pm on 3rd of December when will be also revealing beautiful mosaic done by Artist’s Resource that is already gracing St James Square beautifully. Peter Thompson, our unofficial Mayor of Muswell Hill will do the honours together with Rowland Rivron and Leona, the face behind the Artist’s Resource .
Our DJ Web Sheldon will be playing A Very Merry Muswell with Xmas mashup. He has a keen ear for hypnotic beats, dirty synths and clever lyrics.
The North London Ukulele Club was set up by local teacher Margie and musician and guitar teacher Luca to inspire learners to play the ukulele. The aim is to learn and enjoy welcoming all ages. Margie and Luca teach in East Finchley, Highgate, Muswell Hill, Crouch End, North Finchley and Hampstead and Alex teaches in South East London.
Muswell Hill Brass Band was founded in May 2011, establishing what was the first ever brass band in London N10. Their main rehearsal base on Wednesday evenings is Muswell Hill Methodist Church in Pages Lane. They provide equal access to professional music coaching for all people in and connected with the community in Muswell Hill and the London Borough of Haringey.

NLPAC is the largest children’s performing arts centre in the country.
With over 20 years experience of providing performing arts classes to children, they know how to nurture the individual in every child.
Haringey Young Musicians programme has over 20 different groups meeting each week to rehearse. The group performing on 3rd December at A Very Merry Muswell is the HYM Jazz Combo which has electric piano, drum kit, bass guitar, trumpet, sax and vocal soloist.
Marisa Di Muro is a soprano singer/songwriter born in the hills of Southern Italy. She studied at the Conservatorio di Musica “Luigi Cherubini” Florence, Italy. she has earned herself a place in the Area Final of Open Mic UK 2016 with her original song “All this time”.
